It was sunny today, so we took the metro to Qibao, a small water city within inner city Shanghai. It was busy but beautiful. The streets were tiny, lined with even tinier food stalls. Strange, sometimes delicious, sometimes downright terrible, smells wafted through the air. That damn stinky tofu was everywhere!
Cheap street food is one my favourite things about this crazy place. Noodles, jiao zi, bao zi, omelette, weird meats on sticks, tofu, deep fried everything and super saccharine nutty bars overflow from the steamer baskets, bain maries and bbq pits. So, we walk and we eat.
