This city is full of heady, stark contrasts. One minute I am by the bay in Sai Kung, surrounded only by water and a few lonely wanderers, and the next I am sitting snuggly on a skinny tram making my way through bustling Hong Kong Island. It’s hectic, everything is of ginormous proportions and there is little space to breathe, however, if you manage to find the Peak Tram Terminal and find a seat, then you are whisked high above the buildings into the eerie, dreamlike fog. It’s a brief moment, but well worth it. Even amongst the flashing of tourist’s cameras, I caught a glimpse of a beautiful city.
